According to a report by Público, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) decided to resume teleworking, in response to the increase in fuel prices and the instability of energy prices. The regime will remain until the end of the season.
But other companies are considering the same measure. “In some companies, this possibility is clearly on the table, namely, so that it can take effect from April onwards, and in the perspective that the exponential increase in fuel prices will continue and worsen”, says Pedro da Quitéria Faria, partner of Antas da Cunha Ecija e Associados, in statements to Público.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) called on Friday to reduce the speed limit on motorways and to promote remote working three days a week whenever possible to save fuel and avoid supply problems.
