The horse had been spooked by a bee sting while being saddled and bolted far into the Alberta wilderness.

Flex was eventually found by an airplane, one of many people who helped in the search, including professional tracker and TV star Terry Grant.

According to Houston Peschl, Flex's owner, those outside of the horse community have been overwhelmingly supportive, with people as far as Germany reaching out to offer their support and advice.
