In the period under analysis, the employed population (4,878,100 people) increased 1.4% (67,600) compared to the previous quarter, 4.7% (219,700) compared to the same period of 2020 and 1.5% (71,500), compared to the third quarter of 2019 (period prior to the covid-19 pandemic).
The unemployed population, estimated at 318,700 people, decreased by 7.8% (27,000) from the previous quarter and 21% (84,800) from the same period last year.
The inactive population aged 16 and over (3,612,200 people) decreased by 0.9% (32,900) from the previous quarter and by 3% (111,800) from the same quarter of the previous year.
