ANEC asks the population to adopt "self-protection measures in view of the intense forecast [of precipitation] and above all also due to the saturation that the soils have in view of the situation last week ".

Therefore, explained Commander André Fernandes, "people should adopt self-protection measures and adjust their driving in the face of the expected adverse weather situation and also monitor areas most susceptible to landslides".
