In a statement sent today to lusa agency, the Dramatic Center of Évora (Cendrev), one of the organising entities, revealed that the event will take place from the first to the sixth of June, 2021.
The Dolls of Santo Aleixo, traditional male puppets from Alentejo and manipulated by actors of Cendrev, "will receive, in the City World Heritage, two hands full of companies from various corners of the world", said the organisation. Due to the "impossibility of using the Garcia de Resende Theater", which is under construction, BIME, which always includes street shows, will be based in “another space of the city", to be announced "soon", said the Alentejo theatre company.
The event will be organised in partnership by Cendrev and the city council, with funding from the Directorate-General for Arts (DGArtes), the result of an application submitted by the company to the Festivals programme.
