The new rate of pay is expected to come into force on January 1 of next year. Currently, the national minimum wage is 635 euros and the Government, which aims to reach 750 euros at the end of this term of the legislature, has already said its proposal may go beyond 659 euros. At the end of September, the government said that the increase for 2021 would have to be lower than this year’s 35 euros boost.
635 Euros equates to $19.05 US per hour based on a 40 hour work week. We here in the states struggle to approve a $15.00 minimum wage. I'm telling everyone to pack their bags and move to Portugal.

Tony B.
You might want to rethink your trip. I'm sure that €635 is per month, not per week.

@TonyB - It's per month, so actually $5.25/hr (at the current exchange rate).

Oh well, I guess I'm not moving after all.
