Hi Rod, Portugal fought in the first world war and lost around 12000 troops, 220000 civilians due to food shortages and desease. Long before your country was a country a small and poor country like Portugal conquered and occupied Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, São Tomé, Macau, Malaca, Diu, Goa, East Timor and many other places in the world, there is a reason why Portuguese is spoken by well more than 200 million people, 11 of them Portuguese, we were the first ones to find half the known world by sea, we fought for our independence for more than 500 years against a neighbour five times bigger. Learn some history, show some respect and maybe you'll learn some things. Your great superpower was humilliated by a group of determined farmers in Vietnam and even today you literally lost the war of attrition in Afeganistan, Iraq, no matter how many movies you make about ww2 truth is, the Russians played a huge part in defeating the nazis. Funny enough your country used war criminals to gain technology for years to come. Empires come and go but Portugal is still one of the oldest countries in the world with its borders dating the 11th century... Have some respect.
