Demand for psychologists in Portugal has risen 450% with stress-related issues being the most common driver. Uncertainty regarding the future and financial instability are the other two main worries taking their toll on mental health. An online survey by ‘Fixando’ carried out between 22 and 24 January found the demand for these specialists was 450% higher over the first two weeks in January than in the same period of last year.
I assume (rightly or wrongly) that The Portugal News know the difference, but what is the situation for Psychiatrists?

The governments approach is clearly not working. Maybe we need to do things very differently, and accept people will die, just like every year with the flu? Those deaths have magically disappeared....
