Officials are set to extend the state of emergency for another two weeks after a series of meetings this week. While there have been calls to ease children back to school, starting from the youngest pupils, lockdown rules are expected to remain unchanged for the first fortnight of March. This comes as Covid-19 cases and deaths have dropped to numbers last seen in October - though these figures are tempered by relatively high hospital bed occupation rates, which have shown a far slower decline.
Ridiculous.

Criminal! How many of these politicians making these decisions have missed a paycheque since this all started? How many of them have lost businesses, worried about mortgage / rent payments, meeting electricity and food bills? The idea of hiding away from a virus is ridiculous! By all means isolate the vulnerable but let the rest of us get on with OUR lives!

“Portugal can’t take another lockdown.”
This was the message on 15 July 2020 from prime minister António Costa as he closed the presentation of the new Simplex programme at Parque das Nações in Lisbon.
Another lie from a politician. They cannot be trusted. Remember this next time you vote!
