“We cannot get out of this crisis with the labour legislation that we had when this crisis began,” said António Costa, in Figueira da Foz, in a session to present his political orientation motion to the PS Congress, which takes place on 10 and July 11.
In his speech to a few dozen members of the PS, António Costa stressed that the crisis resulting from the pandemic “made clear the degree of deregulation that exists today in labour relations”.
“Today, it is not just a question of reconciling family, personal and professional life. It is not just a question of continuing the trajectory of increasing incomes. It is about ensuring decent work and with rights for all those who work, whatever their activity”, defended António Costa.
