According to the new easing of lockdown plan presented today by the prime minister, the measure is part of the second phase of the plan, which should start at the beginning of September, when the Government anticipates that 70% of the Portuguese population will already have a full vaccination.
Masks no longer mandatory from September

Not true; P'guese newspapers say 'masks on road', which is also not correct. Our law states that you only are required to use a mask outside, if you are not able to maintain physical distance. So far there's no talk about lifting the use of masks all together.

Please correct the false information in your articles urgently, it's very dangerous to put such a misleading and fake title which may have harmful consequences if people believe it - masks are not going to stop being mandatory from september - the only thing that will stop being mandatory is masks on outdoor spaces, on the street (with no crowds) What you see in the official website, "em espaços públicos ao ar livre" means "in public spaces outdoors", which is completely different from this - indoors masks will still be mandatory. Great news for the tourism sector. That can kick start this very important sector for the Portuguese economy, as 90% of all tourists are not happy to be locked up behind masks.
