The cause of death is still unknown, announced the Authority National Maritime (AMN).

AMN said in a statement that it received the alert through the Firefighters Volunteers of Portimão, at 2:10 pm, having immediately sent Maritime Police workers to the scene, which isolated the location where the body was later analyzed by the Judiciary Police.

The death was declared on the site by the National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEM), and the body was transported by the Firefighters Volunteers of Portimão to the city's morgue, is mentioned in the same note.

The investigation is under the responsibility of the Public Ministry.
