The downpours are nearing an end, but very low temperatures are expected, which could even be below freezing in several Portuguese locations.
According to the IPMA met office, Tuesday to Wednesday night could even see some highlands experiencing snowfall.

Not too cold I hope! My wife and I arrived in Portugal last December and were met with sub zero temperatures well in to February. The B&B we stayed at ran out of heating oil and we lived in 1 room with a 1200 watt heater. Definitely the coldest I have ever been, and that is coming from a couple who spent 20 years in NZ!
