That’s all fine and well I hear you say but who is Prof Haim Eshed and why should I care?

Haim Eshed was the former Israeli space security chief and a retired brigadier general in the Israeli Military Intelligence department. He holds a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering and a master's degree and a doctorate in aeronautical engineering.

For more than 30 years Haim was not only responsible for the launch of 20 Israeli-made satellites and many consider him the grandfather of the Israeli space program.

As the former chair of the Space committee council for research and development, he also served in the highly secretive Unit 81 who is known to provide “solutions” for the Military intelligence directorate.

Some pretty solid credentials I think we all can agree. So why is he ruffling feathers within the intelligence community with his recent fantastic claims… so, what exactly has he been saying?

For one he told Israel’s Yediot Aharonot newspaper: "The Unidentified Flying Objects have asked not to publish that they are here, humanity is not ready yet,"

He also went on to say they are also curious about humanity and were seeking to understand the fabric of the universe and that: "If I had come up with what I'm saying today five years ago, I would have been hospitalised," - "Today, they're already talking differently. I have nothing to lose. I've received my degrees and awards, I am respected in universities abroad."

Eshed further went on to suggest that a cooperation agreement had been signed between species: "They have been waiting until today for humanity to develop and reach a stage where we will understand, in general, what space and spaceships are," Eshed said, referring to the galactic federation.

An astonishing further claim he made was that President Donald Trump was aware and “on the verge of revealing” information but was asked not to in a bid to avoid what was described as “mass hysteria”.

Nick Pope who was responsible for investigating UFOs in the United Kingdom for the MOD (Ministry of Defense) referred to his remarks as “extraordinary” but went on to suggest either a practical joke, a lost in translation, or someone in the know is breaking ranks. He concluded though saying “there are still some missing pieces of the puzzle here.”

What do you the readers think about his claims?
