The tournament attracted an international field although numbers were again slightly curtailed due to ongoing concerns related to the Covid pandemic. 26 bowlers from across The Algarve and the UK competed in the drawn doubles competition in which a high standard of bowling was on display. Partners were drawn on a daily basis who then played in group round robin matches and daily knock-out stages to determine the leader board. The overall winner of the Tournament was Steve McManus. Many of the bowlers enjoyed a tournament meal at the Oasis Parque restaurant where Emma made sure everyone had a good time. The 2022 Tournament will run from 31 October to 4 November and entry details are on the Club website (www.alvorlawnbowls.com). Crown green bowls takes place at the Club every Tuesday afternoon.
