According to ECO, national construction companies managed to raise €500 million in large public works awarded in Portugal last year, which represents three quarters of the total share.

In previous years, groups comprising Spanish companies collected some of the major public works in Portugal, but last year they were unable to reach more than €87 million, representing less than 14% percent of the total share.
