Due to the lack of rain, very high concentrations of pollen in the atmosphere are expected in all regions of the mainland and low levels for the archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira, SPAIC said.
“It should be noted that, at this time of year, across almost the entire country, pollen grains with high allergenic capacity are present in the air at significant levels, such as those from grass, parietaria, plantain and chenopodium and from the olive tree”.
