“This is one of the most important festivals in the Central
region of Portugal, which will receive around 20,000 people over the three
days”, said the representative of Amazing Events, Luís Salgado.
Tickets for the three-day event only went on sale about
three months ago, but sales have "already skyrocketed".
The municipality of Vagos, district of Aveiro, hosts the
Vagos Metal Fest from the 28th to the 30th of July, which will take place at
Quinta do Ega, near the River Boco close to the center of the village.
Speaking to the Lusa agency, Luís Salgado stressed that the
5th edition of Vagos Metal Fest will feature more than three dozen bands, many
of them international.
For July 29, the return of 'Testament' is scheduled,
considered one of the most historic and influential bands that emerged in the
heyday of thrash metal, in the early 80's.
On the 30th of July, 'Emperor', one of the propel bands of
'Norwegian Black Metal', make their debut in Portugal, 30 years after their
foundation.
With a budget of around 500 thousand euros, this event has
“a financial contribution of around 10% from the Vagos City Council”.
