Faro airport
AHETA estimates that the movement of passengers at Faro
airport, in July, was 1.1 million, which corresponds to a decrease of 6 percent
compared to the same month of 2019.
In accumulated values, since the beginning of the year,
passenger movement has fallen by 11 percent compared to the same period in 2019,
which corresponds to 577,000 fewer passengers.
This decrease can in part be explained due to cancelled flights, strike
and delays during the month of July that affected airports globally.
In June, the United Kingdom, with 49 percent of passengers
handled, was the origin/destination of most passengers, followed by Ireland (11
percent), Germany (10 percent) and France (8 percent).
