David grew up to become a great preacher. He founded monastic settlements in Wales, Brittany, and South East England.
He was a vegetarian who only ate bread, herbs, and vegetables. He only drank water.
He died in c589 and is buried at St David’s Cathedral.
The phrase he used, Gwnewch y pethau bychain mewn bywd..... Do the little things in life... Is still well known in Wales today.
David is the Patron Saint of Wales and his Feast day is on 1 March.
