You can sit outside under the veranda, or in the restaurant itself. Everything looks neat and cosy.
The popular lunch menu costs only 12 euros.
Owner João Aleixo, who has had the restaurant for 18 years, welcomes everyone personally. The other staff are also friendly.
Main courses cost between 13.50 and 17 euros.
And a la carte prices are also low. That's one of the advantages of visiting rural restaurants.
We ate a delicious salad (2.50 pp), then a tasty risotto with vegetables (13.50) and for dessert fresh pineapple (2.50).
As befits a Portuguese lunch, everything is served neatly within the hour.
The dishes are simple, but tasty and healthy. That's why Sabores do Campo has many regulars.
Visitors are a nice mix of couples, businessmen, workers, expats and tourists.
Recommended, if you are looking for an inexpensive and good address!
