More than 163,000 people users have been assigned a family doctor in the last month, a reduction of 9.3% between May and June, with almost 1.6 million people now without this specialist assigned to them.

According to data from the transparency portal of the National Health Service (SNS) consulted by Lusa, the number of people without a family doctor dropped from 1,757,747 in May to 1,594,062 at the end of June, which represents a decrease of 163,685 users within one month.
The SNS transparency portal also indicates that the number of subscribers to primary health care increased from 10,608,721 to 10,622,877 between the two months, plus 14,156 users.

Well I live in the centre of Sintra 12 minutes from the health centre and they don't to know or even care . They give priority to the no residents the people that left Sintra council and reside in another areas that neither are in Sintra area or belong to the council . This people left and the health centre come with the great idea to continue allowing them to use the health centre despite that many of them don't live in Sintra council anymore . This isn't correct or even right for the local people like me and many others that cant use the health centre because of this selfish people . And the supposed waiting list that no one knows what position they are or even no one knows if the no residents some of them also in this waiting list . It is complete insulting when people are paying taxes and this selfish people that don't live in Sintra area or even council still continue using the heath centre and the real residents are oblige to have anything or go private to see a doctor . And I can care less if you don't live in Sintra or area that belongs to this council move out of the health centre go to the centre where you live.
