In a statement, the Navy states that it is the ocean patrol ship “Sines” that is accompanying the tug “Sergey Balk” and the submarine “Krasnodar”, in coordination with the branch's Maritime Operations Center.
Russian ships coming from the Mediterranean Sea will be monitored while they are in the Exclusive Economic Zone, the Navy adds in the statement.
The Portuguese Navy has accompanied several Russian ships since the beginning of the year, as they passed off the national coast - at least eight.
These missions have become more frequent since the start of the war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
In August, it accompanied, for example, the Russian ship “Kildin” and the “RFS Mercuriy”.
Portugal should invest more on the navy, and airforce, also Portugal should invest more on surface to air missiles, and install them around the Portuguese Coast, both in the Continent, and around the islands of Madeira, and the Azores. Those missiles should be aimed at the Atlantic Ocean. This should be an iron shield of protection for Portugal, in case Russia decides to attack Portugal, or any other rouge, or evil Country.
