According to ECO news, 1.60 euros is the average value of the increase in regulated fees at all Portuguese airports for 2024, taking into account ANA Aeroportos' decision to increase regulated fees at all Portuguese airports by 14.55%, after having started by proposing an increase of almost 18%. In Lisbon, the biggest increase will be recorded, of 16.98% (2.29 euros). In Porto, the increase is 11.92% (0.92 euros).

According to Jornal de Negócios cited by ECO, "with the decline in inflation data in August in the 27 countries of the European Union – to 8.8%, instead of the 9.7% initially mentioned in the consultation process”, the executive committee of The Vinci group company has revised downwards the initial tariff update proposals at national airports, but maintains its intention to recover the revenue deviations found in 2022.

When the initial proposal was revealed, in a presentation sent to ECO, ANA defended the proposed increase in airport fees next year, highlighting that this derives from the formulas provided for in the concession contract, pointing out that the increase in ticket prices plane has been far superior.

Ryanair considered these increases "excessive and unjustified", warning that they would harm national tourism, especially in the Azores and Madeira.
