In a statement, the municipality states that the construction of six buildings is planned, with a total of 24 two-bedroom flats, on Rua Engenheiro Amaro da Costa, in S. Cosme, and a building, with 18 flats, on Rua da Federación of the Municipalities of Gondomar.

The project for S. Cosme, which foresees a total construction area of ​​2,302.80 square meters, includes modernising the street's outdoor spaces and the construction of public parking.

“Green spaces are also included, specifically the planting of trees, lawns and the insertion of elements that meet the needs of the local community while promoting coexistence and the well-being of residents”, they add.

As for Rua da Federación das Coletividades do Concelho de Gondomar, the council informs that the building will have three flats per floor.

The proposal to build these homes for affordable rental was unanimously approved at Monday's municipal executive meeting.
