Rounded to one decimal place, the year-on-year rate of change in the Consumer Price Index (IPC) presented today by INE is 0.1 percentage points lower than the value of the quick estimate released on November 30th.
According to the statistical institute, “the main contribution to this slowdown comes from the base effect associated with the monthly increase in prices recorded in food products in the last month (0.4%) which was lower than what occurred in November 2022 ( 1.7%)”.
