The Serra do Açor Forest project in the municipality of Arganil, Coimbra, began in 2020, with the aim of revitalising an area of 2,500 hectares (25 km2), affected by the fire of 2017.

To date, 800 thousand trees have been planted, mostly indigenous with great resistance to fire, by the end of this year, this quantity is estimated to increase to 1.1 million.
