During the 2024–2025 academic year, the Arcos de Valdevez Council will provide 1.7 million euros in support for families and students ranging from preschool to higher education. The district of Viana do Castelo's local government lists the distribution of workbooks, free school transportation, free school meals, and instruction in new technologies as some of the "support and incentives" offered.

Moreover, in addition to giving scholarships to students pursuing further education, the municipality has also “intensified the partnership with the Viana do Castelo Polytechnic Institute (IPVC) hub, promote the provision of internships and strengthen relations with companies, seeking to speed up integration into the job market”.

Along with establishing Leisure Time Activities (ATL), Curricular Enrichment Activities (AEC), the Vacation Time Occupation Program (OTF), and support for daycare centres, the municipality also offers support by extending opening hours. As João Manuel Esteves, Arcos de Valvadez’s mayor stated in a municipality note, “Investment in education is the best contribution we can make to educational success, equal opportunities and building the future of our children and young people”.

Moreover, "The advancement of the creation of a School of Artistic Education - Music, Dance and Theatre to be implemented on the grounds of the EB2,3/S School of Arcos de Valdevez and the start of operations of the Escola Ciência Viva" is one of the "new projects" that the municipality is highlighting for this school year.
