The championship's seventh visit to the 4,592-metre “Rollercoaster” will be the 21st race of the 22-race calendar, right after the usual Asian round.
The race at the Portimão circuit will therefore be the penultimate round of a calendar that will have 22 races and visit 18 countries.
The race being held in November is nothing new at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, as in 2020 and 2021, the championship was held in the Algarve in the same month, the first year with a victory for Miguel Oliveira.
At a press conference at the Autódromo do Algarve, it was announced that the MotoGP GP will be held at the Algarve track until at least 2026.
