In the UK, more than 52,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year, about 140 a day. In total, around 490,00 men are affected by the condition.

Thousands of men will be involved in its initial phase, which will begin in 2025, as this initiative seeks to find the best way to screen them for the disease.
