2,795 properties were placed on the market with price discounts of more than 5% by Remax Portugal, the vast majority of which were housing units, according to a statement sent to newsrooms. These are the types of properties put on the market at reduced prices:
Houses (934);
Apartments (757);
Land (594);
Stores (133);
Quintas (79);
Buildings (44).
As for location, the Lisbon district has the largest share of properties placed on the market at a discount (a total of 711), followed by Porto (333) and Coimbra (224). The top 10 districts with the most properties at reduced prices also include Braga, Setúbal, Faro, Santarém, Aveiro, Leiria and Viseu.
The A Maior Feira de Casas campaign “maintains the successful tradition of price reduction campaigns, [which] are a great opportunity for investment and profitability”, says Beatriz Rubio, CEO of Remax, cited in the document.
With growing demand and rising prices, this Remax campaign seems like a “good opportunity for the Portuguese to start the year in the ideal way, investing in the purchase of a home”.
Riiiight ... They reducing prices as a good will gesture. What nonsense. "Riding demand" means prices go UP. I am seeing price reductions in idealist.a . Demand is falling.
