In a statement, IPMA says that the earthquake was recorded at the stations of the Continent Seismic Network and its epicenter was located approximately 12 kilometers southwest of Seixal.
This earthquake, according to the information available to date, “did not cause personal or material damage” and was felt with maximum intensity II/III (modified Mercalli scale) in the municipality of Sesimbra (Setúbal).
On Monday, an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was recorded with its epicentre approximately 14 kilometres west-southwest of Seixal, in the district of Setúbal at 13:24 at the stations of the Continent Seismic Network.
