“The work aimed to improve visiting conditions, the welcome and the quality of the facilities available to the public”, explains a statement released by Padrão dos Descobrimentos.

The interventions included the “remodelling of the sanitary facilities and their adaptation for people with reduced mobility”, as well as the “rehabilitation of the acoustic ceilings of the exhibition room”.

The closure of the Padrão dos Descobrimentos had been announced in December last year by EGEAC, which announced that the interventions involved an investment of €150,000.
