At Humberto Delgado airport (Lisbon), according to the information available on the website, at around 09:00, several connections were cancelled, such as the flight that was scheduled for London, at 06:40, to Frankfurt (06:45), Warsaw (07:05), Brussels (07:15), Milan (07:15), Berlin (07:55), Montreal (08:25), among others.

Of the scheduled departures, many are delayed by several hours.

Upon arrival, there are delays of up to four hours and several flights from different airlines that were due to land this morning were cancelled.

At Porto airport, delays are less and at least the flights scheduled for Brussels (09:20) and Newark (12:35) were cancelled this morning.

The widespread power outage affected the Iberian Peninsula and part of French territory on Monday, from 11:30 am onwards, and there is still no explanation from the authorities.

On Monday, the aviation regulator (ANAC) authorised night flights so that companies could recover from delays.

On the ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal website, the warning continues that due to a general power outage, “operational constraints may occur”.

Lusa news agency tried several times today to contact ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal to provide an update, but has not yet received a response.
