In a statement, the GNR informs that the Territorial Command of Faro ended a party last Saturday that took place in a house in Albufeira, for violating the measures in force to contain the covid-19 pandemic in the county, and that 43 people were aged between 20 and 30 years were identified.
"Following various publications on social networks announcing this event, the GNR, after police investigations, located the location, having found that it was a party, with the emission of sound from the house being audible", said the GNR.
After giving the order to end the party, the GNR seized a sound mixer, several speakers, a laptop, a tablet, two mobile phones, two external disks, 19 bottles of alcoholic drinks, 12 energy drinks, 13 doses of hashish, one dose of marijuana and about 25 doses of MDMA.
Albufeira is one of the three municipalities in the country, along with Lisbon and Sesimbra, which moved back a phase in the easing in lockdown due to the high incidence level in the county.
The Algarve region has the highest transmission index (Rt) of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the country, standing at 1.3, according to data released by the National Institute of Health Doctor Ricardo Jorge (INSA) on Friday .
The seriousness of the epidemiological situation in the Algarve has already led the authorities to decide to suspend in-person classes in the 1st and 2nd cycles, with teaching being remote until the end of the school year in Faro, Loulé, Albufeira , Olhão and São Brás de Alportel.
