The “eccentric show of music, fashion and dance”, inspired by the life and career of Jean Paul Gaultier, creator of “Madonna's pointed bodices”, is presented in Lisbon, in Campo Pequeno, between November 8 and 12, and in Porto, at the Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota, between 16 and 19 of the same month.
“In this musical celebration, the French designer presents some of his most iconic haute couture pieces, among other models created exclusively for the show, in a setting full of multimedia elements and visual effects”, says the promoter.
“The fashion shows and the most important moments in the life of the French 'showman' are recreated, from his childhood to his rise in the world of haute couture, passing through the cultural changes that his fashion mirrored, and his irreverent personality and humorous”.
Jean Paul Gaultier, who now has a career spanning 50 years, is the creator, author, director and costume designer of the show, whose creative team is co-directed by Tonie Marshall, choreography by Marion Motin and co-writing by Raphaël Cioffi.
“Jean Paul Gaultier – Fashion Freak Show” premiered in 2019, in Paris, where it was on stage for six months, having then passed through the United Kingdom, Japan and Germany.
Tickets for “Jean Paul Gaultier – Fashion Freak Show” in Lisbon and Porto, which cost between 20 and 90 euros, are already on sale.
