As an avid fan of Deon Meyer I have waited two years for the English version of his latest book and I was not disappointed.

We follow the story of detectives Benny Griessel and Vaughn Cupido. Recently demoted from the elite Hawks unit now working the streets of Stellenbosch. The case they land is a missing student, Callie de Bruin. While it seems a boring case it soon takes a dangerous turn.

Along the way we meet Jasper Boonstra, a fraudster and real estate agent Sandra Steenberg.

I enjoyed the twists and turns the story took me on and finished the book pretty quickly. It's hard to put down and keeps your attention throughout.

The author, Deon Meyer is a South African crime fiction author and screenwriter. He has written many bestsellers and written several series for television, and four screenplays for feature films.

Highly rated by many writers like Steven King, this is a must read for fans of crime fiction! I enjoyed every chapter.
