Carris workers began a partial strike on Monday, which ends today.
“The balance we make is an extremely positive balance, with a membership of over 90%”, Manuel Leal, from the Union of Road and Urban Transport Workers of Portugal (STRUP), told Lusa, mentioning that there were “some situations of strikes on shifts, in the order of 100%”.
The strike initially covered drivers and brakemen, who were joined by workers from the workshops of Companhia Carris de Ferro de Lisboa, the capital's public transport operator.
