The ‘Ring of Fire’ phenomenon will be seen as a partial social eclipse in Portugal; it starts at around 9.45am and will finish around 11.20am. The Lisbon Astronomical Observatory has urged sun-gazers not to look directly at the sun with the naked eye and to wear safe glasses.
