The pharmacies where Lagoa’s residents can get their free covid-19 test are: Pharmacy Lagoa and Pharmacy José Maceta, both in Lagoa, and Pharmacy of Ferragudo. Testing requires appointment through the pharmacies telephone contacts.

The tests do not require a prescription. However, whoever chooses to carry out two tests must have at least 14 days between them, and these free tests will not be applied to residents or municipality's employees who tested positive for SARS-CoV -2 in the last 90 days, counting from the intention to carry the test out.

Testing is carried out according to a concept of proximity to users, by professionals from the pharmacy network, who, in a case of positive test, immediately report it to SINAVE, a system managed by the Ministry of Health.

“This campaign meets the goals outlined by the General Directorate of Health, within the scope of Standard 019/2020 - National Testing Strategy for SARS-CoV-2, where rapid antigen tests (TRAg) will be used exclusively, with the aim of preventing and mitigate the impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection on health services and vulnerable populations and monitor the epidemiological evolution of covid-19”, according to Lagoa’s website.

To schedule an appointment you only have to call to one of the pharmacies below and give your SNS’s user number - so the pharmacy can check on the system where do you live - and then, when you go for a test, don’t forget to bring your ID with you.
