“Yesterday [on Thursday] Cristiano Ronaldo told me that he has no intention of playing for Juventus again. For this reason, he didn't train today and he won't be called up for tomorrow's game [Saturday],” said the Juventus coach.
At the same press conference previewing the game against Empoli, for the second round of the Italian League, Allegri confirmed that the Portuguese striker "has said goodbye to the dressing room today".
“I'm not disappointed with Cristiano. He wants to leave us after three years. It is part of life”, stressed the coach.
Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo was absent today from Juventus training, after having travelled to the club's sports centre.
The Portuguese player, who could be leaving Juventus before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night, spent just over an hour at the training centre.
Cristiano Ronaldo started on the bench on Sunday when he visited Udinese, in the first round of the Italian League.
On Wednesday, Ronaldo left training accompanied by a member of the technical team, with complaints in one of his arms, after a collision with Brazilian Alex Sandro.
Ronaldo, 36, arrived in Turin in the 2018/19 season, from Real Madrid, and has a contract with Juventus for another season.
