Eight unions have called strikes on the railways with only minimum services being available on December 23, 25, and 26 and January 1, 2023, according to a report by ECO.

In the coming days, the list of trains covered by the minimum services will be published on the CP website.

Passengers who have already purchased a ticket for regional, interregional, Intercidades, and Alfa Pendular trains will be able to request a refund or can change their trips free of charge.

CP workers demand the “attribution of an annual financial premium to compensate for the loss of purchasing power” throughout 2022, the “update of the food subsidy”, the “end of discrimination between workers” and “between unions” in addition to “compliance with the Company Agreement in force”.
