At the end of the council of ministers dedicated to forests, Eduardo Cabrita specified that the air means to be acquired are six light helicopters, six medium helicopter bombers and two heavy amphibious bombers.

The minister stressed that this acquisition plan runs until 2026 and aims to create "a more effective aerial response system to rural fires, linking the state's own resources with allocated resources.
