According to today's epidemiological bulletin, the region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo registered 591 new cases in the last 24 hours, representing 66.4 percent of the national total.
Regarding hospitalisations, data from the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) indicate that there are 11 more people hospitalised in the infirmary, totalling 307, and another four in intensive care, which currently has a total of 70 patients.
Data released by the DGS also show that over 365 cases are active, for a total of 23,996, and that 525 people were reported as recovered in the last 24 hours, increasing the national total to 813,489 recovered.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, 17,037 people have died in Portugal and 854,522 cases of infection have been registered.
