Portugal has had in the last 24 hours over 625 confirmed cases of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and 15 more people are hospitalised with Covid-19, according to the General Directorate of Health.

On a day when there were no deaths with covid-19, the number of hospitalized people rose to 340, of which 77 were in intensive care units, from which five patients left in the last 24 hours.

Most of the new cases of infection (401) were diagnosed in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region.
