On the Aer Lingus website, it says that “for the second time, an Aer Lingus aircraft will be reserved exclusively for Avios flights”, and AerClub members can secure their seat for just 15,000 Avios return (includes one 10kg and one 20kg bag), subject to additional fees, charges and applicable taxes.

The announcement of the flight to Faro comes after the launch of Aer Lingus' first Avios-Only flight to Tenerife, which takes off in April, with the company stating that “due to huge demand, seats on this flight sold out in less than three hours”.

Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus, says we are “excited to be offering another exclusive Avios-Only flight. Portugal is one of our most popular destinations and, following the huge success of our previous Avios-Only flights, which sold out in less than three hours, we are delighted to be bringing this unique experience back, allowing members to turn their rewards into unforgettable trips.”

Created in 2016, AerClub currently has more than three million members worldwide, with the program having four membership levels: Green, Silver, Platinum and Concierge. As members progress through different tiers, they can accumulate Tier Credits and unlock exclusive travel benefits.
