I can relate to :“White lines cross the streets,
To protect or target us?” (beautifully said, kudos).
The pb is cars will speed towards the zebra crossing, and you´ll be hesitant, bc between you walking and the person driving towards you w/out seeming to slow down, ppl walking stay put and don´t start crossing. The other day I crossed at the same time as a young mother with a baby stroller, and I asked her:”Do you feel having a baby while you cross makes drivers more cautious than when you walk alone?”. The answer was surprising, she said “They don´t care and just speed towards you anyway.” I feel bad for this bad driving behavior when it comes to my experience; but got to say, I felt way worse that not even a baby on a stroller will make drivers slow down towards the zebra crossing. As I said bf, serious mentality problem. If drivers want to drive recklessly they should do so in a pc game, not on real roads.
