Among the materials that are placed in recycling bins, plastic is the one that registers one of the biggest growth, with a volume of recycled packaging that increased by 14% last year alone. Also noteworthy is the performance of glass recycling, a material that grew by 5% in 2021, a trend that has been verified consecutively over the last two years.

For the CEO of Sociedade Ponto Verde, Ana Trigo Morais, “the overall results for 2021 show a good performance of SIGRE (the Integrated System for Packaging Waste Management) and the continuous effort of Sociedade Ponto Verde in managing the flow of packaging”.
