You’ll find them on Rua Alexandre Herculano, no 28, almost opposite Vesparent (on the road that links the Strip and Avenida Santa Eulalia). Open every day from midday, except Tuesdays.
Over the years they’ve loved having a great mix of nationalities, both regular loyal locals and visitors.
Everyone is welcome on the large terrace (including four legged friends), which benefits from the sun all afternoon, and they also have a large bar and cosy lounge area, with regular quiz nights on Wednesday from 7pm.
The last two years were of course difficult for everyone, especially businesses, and Nikki would really like to thank the regulars who kept her going through the bad times of Covid-19. Happily things are now going from strength to strength, although of course high standards of safety and cleanliness are still followed.
“We serve food anytime, and it’s all traditional home cooked British dishes, including Sunday roasts (beef, chicken or pork) with all the trimmings, fish and chips, homemade pies, vegetarian options and lots more, plus an amazing selection of homemade desserts…how about a Maltesers or chocolate orange cheesecake?”
Takeaway is also available, but they are sure once you visit you’ll want to stay, soak up the atmosphere and chat to other friendly customers.
Look for the Wander Inn on Facebook, see their reviews on Trip Advisor, or just pop in!
Albufeira used to be a wonderful bustling village. The Camara decided to pedestrianize the centre, ripping out all the character of the place.
Now it is full of groups bald middle aged men drinking pints from early morning.
The shops all sell the same plastic rubbish from the same container from China.
One of the greatest tragedies that could happen to a town.
