I am glad to hear rain is on the way because Portugal definitely needs it! It is the driest January and February I have known here. Not only will this be causing a problem for farmers but many wildlife will suffer badly from the lack of water. For example, temporary pools that amphibians need for breeding purposes, this year are not available or very short of water. At this time of year, there are usually tadpoles in pools like this where I live but the pools are just mud this time around.
